The Will County Probate Court has one judge, Judge Jeffrey Allen, who hears all Probate and Guardianship matters for the county. The Probate call for routine Probate and Guardianship matters is heard Monday through Friday at 9:00 a.m. in Courtroom 2 of the River Valley Justice Center in Joliet, Illinois. Because of the high volume of Probate and Guardianship matters, and with only one judge to handle the Court call, the Probate Court oftentimes has a lengthy 9:00 a.m. Court call. Contested matters related to Probate and Guardianship estates are heard later on in the morning and in the early afternoon.
The River Valley Justice Center also stores all of the Wills for decedents estates for the entire county and is the location for the Juvenile Court for Will County. The clerk's office for the Probate Court is down the hall from the Court on the second floor.
